Robert "Bob" Ira Shipley, 84, of Cumberland, passed away May 4, 2026 at Mountain City Rehab in Frostburg.

Born February 4, 1942, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Dorothy (Hymes) and Ira Owen Shipley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rita Mae Shipley; brothers, Carl William and Ronald Lee; sister, Sandra and Dorothea.

Bob was a dairy farmer. He had also worked at the Celanese, as well as the Kelly Springfield Tire Company.

He is survived by three children, Rodney Shipley and wife Kimberly, Susan Keel, and Todd Shipley; granddaughter, Sarah Keel; sister, Barbara Kolb; many nieces and nephews.

Bob donated his body to science, and there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
