Robert Louis "Bob" Wolford,84, of Fort Ashby West Virginia, passed away at home on Feb. 24,2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on June 10,1941 to Angela (Miltenberger) Wolford and William Wolford, Bob grew up in short gap wv where he learned the values of hard work, family and country living that would guide him throughout his life. He spent his adult years in Fort Ashby Wv, a place he proudly called home.

Bob dedicated much of his career to working for the railroad, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steady reliability. Though he valued his time at the railroad, his true passion was farming. He found his greatest joy outdoors tending the land and living close to nature. Farming wasnt just a hobby for Bob it was a way of life that reflected his patience, strength and love for simple, honest work.

He was a devoted father, brother, partner and friend who cherished time with family. Bob is survived by his son Bobby wolford and wife ashley; significant other Marie Moreland; his sisters Mary jane beard and husband Charlie; Dolly Wolfe and husband Joe; his brother George "Pete" Wolford. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember his kindness, steady presence and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Bob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his love of family, dedication to work and the life he built with care and integrity.
