CUMBERLAND Rocco Natale Franze, 77, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.Born October 30, 1939, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Michael and Frances (Javando) Franze.Rocco served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Goodfellowship Club, Cumberland Eagles, and the Cumberland Outdoor Club. He was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish.Rocco is survived by his sister, Sr. Catherine Mary Franze, OSU, Louisville, KY.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, on Wednesday, January 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Christian Wake will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church.
