On February 12, 2022, the honest, fun-loving, hard-working, curious and caring Ronald Garland "Shot" Abe died at the age of 87 in Towson, Maryland. Ronald was born to Harvey Eugene and Ruth Abe in 1934 in Wiley Ford, West Virginia near Cumberland, Maryland. He served two years in the US Army, and attended Sheppard and Fairmont Colleges, WVU, and UMD. Ronald married his high school sweetheart, Loretta, taught at Kenwood High School for over 25 years, and had four children and seven grandchildren. A life-long liberal, Ronald's ethical will emphasizes reading, learning, truthfulness, gratefulness, family, and love. He led by example. Ronald enjoyed basketball, Broadway, good books, history, golf, travel, and laughter. He brought us joy, and we loved him well. His ashes will be buried at the Abe Cemetery.
