Ronald Wayne Chandler, 78, of Ridgeley, WV got his wings and is no longer suffering on October 8, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland.

He was born in Camden, NJ, on November 22, 1944, to the late Russell and Elizabeth Chandler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy Chandler and Roger Chandler.

He proudly served and gave his all to his country in the U.S. Army. Ron was devoted to his wife and family. He lived for his family and animals. His family and friends referred to him as "The King".

Ronald is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry Lynn Chandler; a son, Tommy Inge; a daughter, Julie Rhodes and husband Dwain; grandchildren, Blake, Chandler, Chloe, Jansen, Isaiah, Braden, Julian, Pressley, Kennedy, and Kingsley; siblings, Ritchie Chandler, Russell and wife Betty Chandler, Rod and wife Tulla Chandler; Mike and wife Sally Chandler, Jan Chandler, and Bonnie and DJ Chandler; and large extended family with many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and a memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. with military honors being accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard, and then Pastor Dave Sutton officiating.
