Obituary

Rosemary A. Coyle, R.N., slipped the bounds of this world on November 15, 2021. The family is forever grateful for loving and kind care the staff at Country House Memory Care provided the past two years and also the staff of The Kensington for the two years prior. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John J. Coyle in November of 2017; and by her son, Martin F. Coyle in 2016. Rosemary was born March 19, 1925. She was a graduate of Ursaline Academy. She was a stay at home mother for her seven children for 27 years. When her youngest child started school, Rosemary, at age 45, returned to school at Allegany Community College, where she graduated with honors from the nursing program. She was employed at the Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse until her retirement. Once retired, she worked relief at the job she truly loved as a hospice nurse. Rosemary and John were married October 4, 1943. Rosemary was always very supportive of John's business and community activities. Their love for each other was unselfish and obvious, especially in their later years. Rosemary is survived by six children: Janet A. Ruhl, Patricia A. Zimowski and her husband John, John J. Coyle, Jr. and his wife Susan, Dotti Stopher, William E. Coyle and his wife Mary, and Dennis A. Coyle and his husband David Mallory. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild who will be born soon. Rosemary was blessed to have the attention of Amy Zimowski Beeman and her daughters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Shrine of SS. Peter and Paul. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior. Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony Place, c/o Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, 300 E Oldtown Rd Ste #2, Cumberland, MD 21502.
