Cresaptown, MD- Roy Joseph Jefferys, 80, of Cresaptown, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Roy was born on February 16, 1943 to the late Roy Edward and Evelyn Patricia (Thrasher) Jefferys Robinette. He was also preceded in death by his step-father Donald Robinette; daughter, Tracey Jefferys; brother, Mike Jefferys; sister, Ginny McNally; and brother-in-law, Moe Barrett.

Roy is survived by his long time loving fiancé of 34 years, Donna Bone, and sons, Roy Lee Jefferys (Stephanie) and Jimmy Jefferys (Pam). His daughter, Nicole Bone (Brad); grandkids, Roy Lee Jefferys (Sara), Cody Jefferys (Jenna), Drew Jefferys (Jessica), Addison Brown, Christina Jefferys, Hailey Jefferys, and Austin Jefferys; great-grandkids Camden, Nolan, and Evelyn Jefferys; sisters, Donna Kay Frankenberry (Barth) and Judy Barrett; brother-in-law, Pat McNally; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy's family was his world. It was the only thing he ever talked about. Until retirement in 1989, Roy worked for General Motors in Lordtown, Ohio and Mike Jefferys Excavating Company. Roy was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 8, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown, MD 21502. And Tuesday, May 9 from 9:00am until 10:00am. Funeral services will follow with the Reverend Harold McClay Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Park.
