Ruth Elizabeth Felten, 98, passed away at her home, in Fayettevile, NC, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Ruth was born and raised in Cumberland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcellus Felten; parents, Carl and Mary Twigg; and five siblings.

She is survived by her children, Edward Felten and wife, Marilyn, NC, Janet Sisk and husband, Larry, WV, Karen Felten, NC, Terry Felten, SC, Christina Hartman and husband, Mike, TN, and Cynthia Swaim and husband, Ryan, SC; grandchildren, Amy Felten, Laurie Nuchurch, Ryan Felten, Jennifer Sisk, Tara Allen, Jeremy Felten, Joshua Felten, Sean Hartman, Adam Hartman, and Delaney Swaim; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband, "Cell." Her greatest joy was being a busy full-time homemaker and a doting and loving mother to her six children. Her brightest smiles were when she would see her grandchildren. A favorite saying, when she saw pictures or videos of her great-grandchildren, would be, "God love um." Ruth had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. We know that she is now singing with the choir of angels.

There is nothing as powerful as a mother's love. Ruth will be greatly missed by all.

A private family burial service will be performed at Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11 a.m.
