Ruth Evelyn Schade, 93, of Cumberland, went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 24, 2018, at the Lions Center, surrounded by her loving family. She celebrated a heavenly homecoming, rejoicing with her loved ones.Born December 9, 1925, in Cumberland, to the late Argyle and Mary Twigg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Hank" Schade; one granddaughter, Julie (Beal) Gaither; two brothers; and eight sisters.She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Beal and husband Jim; and son, Jim Schade and wife Linda. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Tammy Bright and husband Mike, Kim Robertson and husband Sonny, Jim Beal, Jr. and wife Jodi, Jimbo Schade and friend Bev, and Mandy Stafford and husband John. She was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, and 16 great, great-grandchildren.Ruthie was a lifelong member of Mt. Herman UMC. Originally of Christie Road, she enjoyed 25 years of residence at Mountain View Apartments, and this past year at Lions Center.Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Everett Spence officiating. Interment will be in Mt.
