Sandra Sue (Lowery) Moore, 66, of Mount Savage, MD went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland after an extended illness.

She was born on February 18, 1958 in Cumberland, MD to the late Raymond and Martha Lowery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Lowery and his wife Charlotte; nephews, Kenneth Lowery and Kevin Lint; and a great niece, Melanie Raley.

Sandra graduated from Mount Savage High School in 1976. Following school she worked at Liberty Trust, and then moved to Florida to work with Aegon Group as a program specialist until her retirement.

She loved gardening especially flowers, her dog Penny, traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Also she served her community as the past president and district manager of the Mount Savage Lions Club; and was the church secretary for Zion Community Church of Wellersburg, PA.

Surviving are her siblings, Gene "Sonny" Lowery, her caregiver Paulett Lint, and Pauline Stewart; a large extended family including many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you is extended to Viola Michaels her caregiver; and all of the staff of UPMC Western Maryland Hospital and their Home Health Services, especially homecare nurse Tera Rosskamp.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, January 15th beginning at 2:00 p.m. at LaVale Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Jefferies, friends and family will be received one hour prior to service, and a reception will follow at the church.
