FROSTBURG – Sarah Elizabeth Halberstadt, 71, of Frostburg, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born July 28, 1952, in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Elizabeth (Hornick) and James Alton Halberstadt.

For 30 years, Sarah taught in Garrett County schools. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed attending concerts with her family.

Sarah leaves behind her sister, Mary Sadecki and husband, E. Mark; nephews, Matthew and Michael Sadecki; and several cousins.

Interment in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium, MD will be private.
