Sharon Lee (Bennett) Freeland, 76, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Shady Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Rockville, MD.

Born January 23, 1949, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Theodore George and Lillian May (Cooper) Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley (Bennett) Taylor.

Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She was a homemaker, caregiver, and loving mother.

She was a member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren and enjoyed helping with the many activities at the church.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Freeland) Cudworth and husband Aaron Cudworth; sister, Sandy (Bennett) Weigelt and husband Robert Weigelt; nephew, Derek Carner; bother-in-law Dennis Taylor; niece, Lori Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11am to 12pm. A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Seth Wharton officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
