Sharyn Jean Miller, 77, of Cumberland, MD passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and savior March 15, 2025 at her home with her family.

She was born December 6, 1947 in Cumberland to the late Eugene and Ruth (Bartlett) Light. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy A. Dignan; father-in-law, Wilbert "Wid" G. Miller; and mother-in-law, Betty J. (Norris) Miller.

She graduated from Fort Hill High School with the class of 1965, and went on to Catherman's Business School. She worked in various positions over her life, most recently in the finance depart at HRDC, until her retirement for medical reasons.

Sharyn enjoyed raising her eleven siberian huskies and loved working in her yard. She was a member of New Covenant Methodist Church.

Sharyn is survived by her husband of 58 years W. Gary Miller; a son, Douglas Gary Miller; a daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Stewart and husband Michael; grandchildren, Kaleb S. Miller (Jenna), Gretchen S. Porter, Hunter G. Porter, and Kylee J. Stewart; great-grandchildren, Layla F. Miller and Jace J. Miller; and her extended family including nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19th, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Janice Leith officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
