Shauntae Renee MacDonald-Hill, 45, of Cumberland, MD, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. She was surrounded by those who loved her, as she began her journey to heaven.

Born on October 2, 1980, in Washington, D.C., Shauntae was the daughter of Elizabeth (MacDonald) McKenney and the late Rodney Hill. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, William McKenney; her best friend, Karen Jeffries; and her aunt, Pam MacDonald.

A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Shauntae attended cosmetology school before dedicating herself to raising her family. Known for her immense heart, she was an avid traveler and a lover of the karaoke stage, which she often shared with her lifelong fiancé, Todd Grimes. Shauntae never met a stranger and was always the vibrant center of attention.

She was a devoted mother to Jayden Nizer and Onyka Crabtree, and a doting grandmother to Asia and Quest (aka "Owen").

Shauntae is survived by and will be forever carried in the hearts of her fiancé, Todd Grimes; her son, Jayden; her daughter, Onyka; and her stepchildren, Morgan and Brodie Grimes. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Asia and Quest; her brothers, Christopher Hill and Frank MacDonald; her nieces, Madison MacDonald, Chloe Hill, Zuri Howard, Frankee MacDonald, and Nevaeh Jeffries; her nephews, Camdyn Hill, Aiden Bridges, and Noah Jeffries; as well as an extensive circle of family and friends.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 23rd, from 11am to 1pm, at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD

Funeral services will begin at 1pm with Pastor Bruce McBride officiating.

Interment will follow directly at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD.
