LAVALE – Shirley Louise Kruczewski, 83, of LaVale, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born October 15, 1939, in Ashville, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Elva Mae (Stiles) Wagner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Kruczewski; brothers, Boyd, John, and Charles; sisters, Mary, Alice, and Emma.

Shirley was a graduate of Cresson High School, Cresson, PA. She went on to become a dedicated homemaker who raised five children with her husband until his passing 27 years ago. She took great pride in her house and always wanted her yard to look nice.

She was an avid donor to the local fire departments through her generous Bingo contributions until sidelined by the pandemic.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is survived by her children, Richard, Sheila (Wes Jones), Sherry (Marc Fornal), Joe, and Tammy (Eric Fadley); grandchildren, Ember, Britni, Amanda, Brian, Kristi, and Chelsea; eight great-grandchildren, and another on the way; brother, Raymond; sister, Anna; sisters-in-law, Louella and Linda; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
