Shirley was raised going to the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. For many years, she was the pianist for the church. She was also the president of the Cresaptown Homemakers. She really enjoyed getting together with the ladies.

She was definitely devoted to her family. Growing up, we couldn't have asked for a better mother. She enjoyed having family and friends gather for cook-outs and holiday dinners. She especially enjoyed all of the vacations with the kids to Myrtle Beach and Florida. When our parents retired, they traveled throughout the United States! She would say, "Travel while you still can!!"

The family will receive friends at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown, on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow with Reverend Harold McClay, Jr. and Reverend Patrick Buhrman officiating.
