Steven James Hartman, 58, of Cresaptown, MD passed away June 6, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland.

He was born January 26, 1967 in Cumberland, MD to the late James and Jean Hartman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Dillon Darr.

Steven graduated from Allegany High School and the Career Center. He worked as a general contractor and jack of all trades, not just for work but for anyone that needed help. Steven was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles #2883 and Cresaptown Eagle Riders.

Steven is survived by his sisters, Sue Ellen Sowers (Herman) and Connie Jean Darr (Robert); nieces and nephews, Christopher Toey and daughter Adelyn, Dustin Darr, Hannah Sowers, and Wesley Sowers; his extended family; and best friends, Jeff Cecil, Scott Winter, Kevin Bailey, Rick and Dawn Rounds.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown, MD.

A funeral will be Thursday, June 12th starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
