Susan G. Smith-Kline, 94, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at her home.

Born November 11, 1929, in Wittenberg, PA, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Sarah Ann (Geiger) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kline; Sisters, Wanda Boyce, Betty Jane Clark; and a brother, George Smith.

Susan graduated from Beall High School, and went on work as a bookkeeper at Wilson and Peuh Hardware, and Montgomery Ward. Later she spent most of her life raising her family at home. She enjoyed bowling with her team, sewing, and was a member of Davis Memorial Methodist Church.

Susan is survived by her partner of 25 years, Walter "Buddy" Clarence Harper, Sr.; her step-sons, Robert and Michael L. Kline; two step-grandchildren; and a large extended family including many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Friday, December 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob Pierson officiating.

Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
