CUMBERLAND - Susan Candice (Loar) Ritchie, 70, stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.Born on October 16, 1947, Susan was the daughter of the late James H. Loar and Wanda E. (Plummer) Hansel.Susan is survived by her daughter, Beth (Buckalew) Reed and husband, David; brother, Michael Sigler and wife Laurie; three grandsons who were the light of her life, James Buckalew, Christopher Reed, and Daniel Reed; and numerous cousins. She also leaves behind her two "fur babies", Tango and Cameron.A graduate of Beall High School, Susan served as Cafeteria Supervisor at Calvary Christian Academy until she retired. She also worked as Blood Services Coordinator for the American Red Cross and as a Pharmacy Technician at George's Creek Pharmacy and Deist Pharmacy.Susan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cresaptown. She was a born-again Christian whose love for people has forever changed all who knew her. Susan enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends, keeping up with old friends on Facebook, crocheting, and playing raucous games of Uno with her "babies". Her daily presence and encouragement will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in the knowledge that her beautiful voice is singing praises to our Lord and someday we will join her.At Susan's request, she was cremated. Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, PA, 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown on Sunday. August 19, 2018, from 2 to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 14517 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 11 am with Pastor Jeremy Adams officiating.
