Short Gap, WV —Terrance Randall "Randy" Ellsworth, 54, of Short Gap, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 3, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cumberland, MD, on May 4, 1965, he was the son of the late Donald and Mary (Shannon) Ellsworth. Randy was a graduate of Allegany High School class of 1984, and the Baltimore International Culinary College in 1993. Randy was a gifted chef and baker, and he was a Methodist by faith. He loved kayaking with his wife, sons, and his dog, Sophie. Randy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Randy was employed by the Maryland State Prison System for 20 years. His last assignment was for WCI as one of the Lieutenant Supervisors in the kitchen. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lisa (Coffman) Ellsworth; sons Trevor and Clark Ellsworth; daughter, Amanda Coffman; brothers, Ronald "Rock" Ellsworth and wife Joanie, and Donald Ellsworth; sisters, Karen "Sue" Ellsworth, and Sharon Roby and husband, Bruce; father-in-law, Charles Coffman; mother-in-law, Deborah Coffman; sister-in-law, Shelley McLeod and husband Mike. Randy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Randy's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice Home Care Unit of Potomac Valley for their compassionate care and attention to Randy and his family during his illness. His family would also like to thank the staff of Ruby Memorial Hospital for the many kindnesses they had shown Randy and his family while he was a patient in the hospital. Additionally, the family would like to thank all the members of their family and their friends for their love and support, especially his lifelong friend, Rick Oats and wife, Kelly.
