Terry C.
Tedrow
Dec 6, 1944 — Apr 1, 2024
Terry C. Tedrow, 79, of LaVale passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at UPMC Western MD surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Parkinson's.
Born December 6, 1944 in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Clyde E. and Freda (Fern) K. Tedrow and brother Thomas K. Tedrow.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Sherry) of 55 years, daughter Lori Smith (Steve Iser), grandson Wyatt Smith (Tiffany) and great granddaughter, Sofia Rose. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Joyce Tedrow, Cindy Fisher (Phil), Vicki Broadwater (Randy); brother-in-law, Robert Kamp (Misty) and many nieces and nephews.
Terry was a graduate of Salisbury-Elk Lick High School. After graduation, he worked on road construction and then was drafted into the US Army where he served in Vietnam. He then worked at Coleman Company, building camper trailers. He then got hired at the Kelly-Springfield Warehouse Distribution Center where he retired after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he then went to work at St. John Neumann, Bishop Walsh and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was a very hard worker, a perfectionist at whatever he did and maintained his sense of humor until the end. He loved spending time in his yard and especially enjoyed spending time with Wyatt as he said he was the son he never had. He loved attending Wyatt's sporting events and watching sports on TV especially college basketball. He was so excited when he learned he was getting a great granddaughter. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
