Obituary

Cumberland – Thelma Mae (Harvey) Mullan-DeLauter, 84, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at Allegany Nursing and Rehab.

Born Μarch 7, 1940, in Mt. Lake Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lester Whitfield and Ramona Mae (Reeder) Harvey Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" DeLauter; and sister, Shirley Grace Squires.

Thelma was a 1958 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She graduated with a degree in nursing from Allegany College. She married Jim Mullan in 1958 and Anthony DeLauter in 2006.

She was a travel nurse after graduating college. She also worked in Hospice care and psychiatric. Thelma taught certified nursing assistant classes. She retired in May of 2011.

Thelma is survived by her daughters, Nancy Clifford of Beltsville, MD, Jamie Mullan of Cumberland; sister, Charlotte McCullough of Cumberland; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Erin, Gina, Rebecca and Jennifer; 4 great-grandchildren, Blake, Cameron, Jack, Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated after the service.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
