Theresa Pearl (O'Baker) Sindy, 93, of LaVale, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Mountain City Center.

Born August 30, 1931, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Edward Charles and Rose Mae (Eirich) O'Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, John T. Sindy, Jr. and siblings, Charles E. O'Baker, Mary E. Dudley and Juanita Seibert.

Theresa attended Allegany College of Maryland and obtained an Associate's Degree. She was a teacher's aide for the Allegany County Board of Education.

Theresa enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches. She loved cleaning and taking car rides. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Theresa is survived by her son, J. Gary Sindy and wife, Diana; grandchildren, Bethany McCoy (Alexandra), Stephanie Loar (Seth), Cody Sindy (Caley), and Chad Sindy (Melissa) and great-grandchildren, Lincoln, McKenzie, Penelope, Alayna, Emerson and Juliette.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jay Atkinson officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mountain City Center, especially Bethany Morozeck and her physical therapy staff, Lisa Reinhart, and Kim Johnson for the exceptional care of Mrs. Sindy.
