Thomas Joseph Farrell, III, (TJ) aged 37, passed away on July 31, 2023. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
TJ was born on October 16, 1985, and spent most of his years in Mt. Savage and Frostburg, MD; with the last 7 in the Rockville, MD area. TJ attended Allegany College of Maryland and Montgomery College of Maryland. He was in the process of pursing a new career opportunity working with autistic children and young adults. He previously worked as Meat & Seafood Manager at Dawson's Market in Rockville, MD. Throughout his life, he was known for his kind soul, charming personality, and passion for helping others.
TJ was a devoted son, grandson, brother and uncle and loved spending time with his nieces, Adalynn and Brynley Ruby, whom he absolutely adored. He was an avid Seinfeld fan and would relate many of its episodes to everyday life. He was big-hearted, fun, did not know a stranger, and had a great sense of humor. He fought his own challenges in a quiet way.
TJ is survived by his loving parents, Tom (Kim) Farrell, Rhonda (Mickey) Robinson, sisters & brothers-in-law, Tara (Colt) Ruby, Shelly (Tom) Rosa-Gastaldo, .brother, Matt Fisher, grandparents, Dave and Kay Hobel, and Shelby Ritchie, his nieces, Adalynn and Brynley Ruby, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his side-kick – his four-legged buddy, his cat, Root.. He was preceded in death by a brother, Brook Robinson and grandfather, Tom Farrell, Sr. TJ will be sorely missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
At his request, he will be cremated.
Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at a later day.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of TJ, the family requests that donations be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, PO Box 566, Cumberland, MD 21502.
