CUMBERLAND – Thomas William Knotts, 81, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020, at the UPMC Western Maryland Hospital. Born November 5, 1938, in Benbush, WV, he was the son of the late Walter and Virginia (Griffiths) Knotts. Thomas was a 1957 graduate of Beall High School, and he then attended Frostburg State University. He served his country in the United States Army. After 28 years of service to Kelly Springfield, Thomas went on to work for Allegany County. He was Episcopalion by faith. Surviving are his wife, Melba Mary (Martz) Knotts; son, Jonathan Knotts, of Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. is assisting the family with arrangements.
