LaVale - Thomas Paul Wolford, 76, of LaVale, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at UPMC-Western Maryland.

Born August 26, 1947, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Hamilton) Wolford. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John; his sister, Joanna Hammond; and his niece, Norma Hammond.

Tom was a veteran of U.S. Army Reserves. He was active for six years from 1964-1970. He retired from the CSX after 40 years as an electrician. He was an active member of the VFW. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed helping people and remodeling his own home. He was never too busy to help others; he'd drop everything and go. Above all, he was a great family man.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Sandra K. (Garlitz) Wolford; his son, Thomas Wolford II (Andrea); and his grandson, Caden Wolford.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave McGraw officiating.

Pallbearers will be Caden Wolford, Bryan, Dale and Tyler Kimmell, Forrest, Rob and Brandon Folk, Bob Slenker, Ryker Rosenberger, Kevin Garlitz, and Chase Blocher.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
