Obituary

Cumberland – Todd Dolan Finan, 40, of Cumberland passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Todd was born on May 6, 1984, in Cumberland, MD. He was the son of W. Timothy and Elizabeth (Taylor) Finan.

Todd was a 2002 graduate of Bishop Walsh School, and he was a graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Todd was the Western Maryland region account manager for Principle Diagnostics, a leading pharmacology laboratory.

Todd was a kind and compassionate person who never said an unkind word and was a friend to all. His love for his family and friends was immeasurable. Music was one of his true loves and he could often be found playing his vinyls, filling the house with the melodies of his favorite songs. He found joy in reading poetry and writing. He volunteered his time as a docent at the Gilchrist Gallery. He had an uncanny ability to make others laugh and his warmth was felt by everyone.

In addition to his parents, Todd is survived by his wife, Lauren (Oleskie) Finan; sister, Megan Finan and her husband, Matt Ferrell, and daughter, Sloane; aunts, Mary Kay (Kelly) Finan and Sheila Andria; cousins, Patrick Finan and his wife Erica and their children, Acadia and Emmylou, Kelly Richards and her husband, Jeff, Sara Bollinger and her husband, Andrew, and their son, Lucas, and Joe Andria; and a wide circle of friends who became family.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.

For those that wish to honor Todd, in lieu of sending flowers or planting a tree, the family would ask that contributions be made to The Bradey J. Loffert Memorial Scholarship Foundation in Todd's name. Todd was a board member of this organization and cared deeply about providing a brighter future for Bishop Walsh students (www.bjlmsf.org). Checks may be made out to "Bishop Walsh School" with "Bradey J. Loffert Memorial Scholarship Foundation" in the memo and mailed to 700 Bishop Walsh Rd, Cumberland, MD 21502.

We love you forever, Todd. May you wait in serenity until we are reunited once again in the land of light.
