Oldtown -- Vivian "Fay" (Nethers) Duckworth, 98, of Oldtown, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.

Born July 3, 1925, in Cumberland, MD to the late Cecil D. and Audrey (Bennett) Nethers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond R. Duckworth; sisters, Dorothy Patch, Iris Davis, and Janice Hersh and husband, Robert; brother, Cecil Nethers.

Fay worked for the State of Maryland Extension Center. She was a 1943 graduate of Oldtown High School. She loved to sew and later taught others how to sew at Allegany Community College.

Fay is survived by son, Royce Duckworth and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Marc Duckworth and wife Carrie, Leslie Jedlowski and husband Tim; great-grandchildren, Zach Lease and wife Lizzy, Drew Scarlett and girlfriend, Hannah High, Chase Scarlett and girlfriend, Makayla Reuschel, Zoie Jedlowski, Camee, Mylee, Kevin, and Will Duckworth; great great-grandson, Barrett Lease; sister-in-law, Sylvia Nethers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Fay will be cremated. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Davis Memorial Cemetery.
