It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Walburga Jean Patton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, on October 2, 2024.

Jean was the cherished daughter of the late James Fields and Esther Fields (Clark), and she lived her life with unwavering love and devotion to her family.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, William Robert Patton; sons, Billy, Brian Patton and his wife Kaaren Patton; daughter, Brenda Patton and her fiancé Troy York. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on in her cherished granddaughters, Andréa Beall and fiancé Michael Guzmán, Jessie Troxell and her husband Jeff Troxell, Hillary Dolan and her husband David Dolan; five great-grandchildren; and beloved cat, Lucky.

Jean's life was marked by her warmth, strength, and dedication to her family. She was a member of the Ursuline Associates, Western Maryland Health System Auxiliary, and an active parishioner with Our Lady of the Mountains.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts as they celebrate the love, laughter, and memories she shared with them.

Friends and family will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Monday, October 7th from 2pm to 4pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of SS Peter and Paul on Tuesday, October 8th at 11am.

Per her wishes, Jean will be cremated and laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
