Warren Delmar Smith, 87, of LaVale, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Born April 16, 1935 in Cumberland, he was the son of Warren Ambrose Smith and Margaret (Wenrick) Smith.

Warren was a graduate of Lasalle High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Additionally, he worked at PPG Industries of Cumberland for 35 years. Also, Warren was a member of the Freemasonry Temple of East Gate Lodge No. 216.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marietta Anne "Etta" (Boyle) Smith.

Also, he is survived by his children, Warren Patrick Smith and wife Ann, Kearneysville, WV; Susie Keefer and husband Jeff, Hagerstown, MD; Diana "Annie" Samples Vinson and husband Butch, Shepherdstown, WV; David Scott Smith and wife Karen, Fort Myers, FL. Grandchildren, Anna Smith; Wesley Samples and wife Heather; Wade Samples; Cole Catlett; Jacob Catlett and wife Brittany; Great-grandchildren, Brantley Samples, Briella Samples, Aria Catlett and Ensley Catlett.

Additionally, the family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation for their wonderful care of Warren during his decline in health.

Services will be private.

Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
