William Henry Mayer, III, 72, of Mount Savage, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Baltimore, MD, on March 13, 1951, to the late William and Dolores Mayer, II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Michele M. (Szymanik) Mayer.

Bill enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved the time he spent outdoors – especially hunting and fishing with his children, grandchildren, and dogs.

Bill always had an open home for friends and family.

Surviving are his children, Megan Mathews and husband Corey, their children Easton, Avery, and Madison, William Mayer IV and wife Kelly, and their child on the way, Morgan Mayer and fiancé Nicholas Smith; sisters, Mary Lynn Bayless and Suzanne Hyson; a best friend, Donnie Miller; also his extended family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated with no public services.
