CUMBERLAND – William "Bill" S. O'Rear, Jr., 76, of Cumberland, died on Monday, January 30, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born on November 30, 1946, in Keyser, he was the son of the late William S. O'Rear, Sr. and Fuchsya Louise (Biser) O'Rear. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Bill had been in failing health for several years. A graduate of Keyser High School, Class of '64, Bill was in the US Navy and served on the USS WASP. He was a past member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 172, Cumberland, MD.

Bill is survived by his wife, Christine (Eror) O'Rear; four daughters, Jennifer Seymour, Tami Louise O'Rear, Teri O'Rear, and Lisa Kelly Young; one son, Arthur Wilkinson; one stepson, Matt Felten; 11 grandchildren, Kameron and Chase Seymour, Jonah O'Rear, Matina, Aaron, and Corey, Brady and Ava Young, Cormac Wilkinson, and Logan and Luke Felten; two sisters, Barbara and Beverly (Bill); one sister-in-law, Sharron Moody; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rocky Gap Veteran's Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Rd NE, Flintstone, MD 21530, on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. with with military honors conducted by Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 172 honor guard.
