William Randolph "Randy" Schry, II, of LaVale, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Born on February 19, 1939, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Irene C. (Haraeth) Schry and William R. Schry, Sr. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jean Emerson and husband George, Wilma Cagle, and Gene Barco.

Randy was a 1957 graduate of Allegany High School and a US Navy Veteran. He retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company when they closed, and worked for Don Athey's Hair Designers in maintenance until retirement.

He was an active LaVale Lions Club member since 1966. Randy enjoyed working the chicken barbeque and selling Christmas trees, and had many close friends in the club.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann (Carter) Schry; his four children, Mark A. Schry and wife Tammy, Alisa K. Schry, Diane Kothman and husband Darryl, Brian C. Schry and wife Kelly; a sister, Patricia "Pat" Barco; a brother, Paul Schry and wife Virginia "Ginny"; his 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Randy enjoyed bowling, spending time with his family and working in his yard and garage. He also took pride in taking care of his laundromat and apartment businesses for over the past 30 years.

Many thanks to the staff of the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center for their loving care or Randy during his short stay.

At Randy's request, his body was donated to science, and there will be no services.
