William "TJ" Marvin Tessner, 59, of Tampa, FL, passed away on July 9, 2026, at UPMC‑WM, surrounded by his devoted friends and family.

Born June 7, 1967, at Andrews Air Force Base, MD, he was the son of the late Vance Wesley Tessner and Jacqueline (Faber) Presley.

TJ is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne (Harclerode) Tessner; his daughter, Savannah (Tessner) Mansfield and husband, Douglas; his sister, Terri (Tessner) Kasecamp and husband Lawrence; his sister, Kimberly (Tessner) Dusek and husband Brad; his niece, Katlyn (Strachan) Garza; his nephews, Richard Weimer, Noah Strachan, and Ashton Dusek- who will carry his memory with gratitude.

A proud 1985 graduate of Beall High School in Frostburg, MD, TJ continued his education at Erwin Technical College in Tampa, FL, where he built the foundation for a career defined by dedication and skill. He went on to own and operate Southern Comfort Auto for more than 30 years, earning the respect and loyalty of countless customers through his honesty, craftsmanship, and unwavering work ethic.

TJ was also a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, cheering them on with the same enthusiasm and heart he brought to every part of his life. Whether celebrating victories or weathering tough seasons, he remained a devoted supporter of his hometown team.

The light of TJ's life was his daughter, Savannah. She was his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and the person who brought out the softest, most tender parts of his heart. Their bond was deep and unmistakable-rooted in love, laughter, and the kind of connection that endures beyond a lifetime.

TJ found profound happiness in the love he shared with his high school sweetheart and wife, Roxanne. After retiring early, he embraced the freedom to travel with her, creating cherished memories and savoring the adventures they experienced side by side. Their partnership was built on devotion, shared dreams, and a bond that remained strong through every chapter of their years together.

He was a best friend to many, forming true, lifelong relationships that stood the test of time. TJ's friends were not just companions-they were family. His loyalty, humor, and steady presence created bonds that will be cherished forever. Known for his great sense of humor, TJ loved to tell jokes and could make any room lighter just by walking into it. His laughter, quick wit, and playful spirit will be remembered with smiles by all who knew him.

A celebration of TJ's life will be held at a future date to be announced both in Cumberland, MD and in Tampa, FL where family and friends will gather to honor the man who touched so many with his compassion, humor, and steadfast heart.
