William Lee Wagoner, 78, of Keyser, WV died October 8, 2024 at Winchester Memorial Hospital, Winchester, VA.

William "Bill" was born April 10, 1946 in Cumberland, MD to the late Donald and Mary Angeline Wagoner. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his brother, Timothy Allen Wagoner.

Bill was a 1964 graduate of Fort Ashby High School. He served his country for 26 years in the U.S. Navy and sailed on the U.S.S Belknap, he obtained the rank of E7 Chief Machinist Mate. After his service, he became a trades and industry educator, teaching Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning at both Berkley and Mineral County's vocational schools.

Bill was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Refrigeration Engineer's Society, and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Fort Ashby, WV.

Bill was an outdoor enthusiast and like bear and deer hunting with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years Sheila A. Wagoner, three children, Patricia A. Miller (David) of Stoystown, PA, Ronald Lee Wagoner (Evadne) of Fairfax, VA, Erin Wagoner Knicely (Wayne); grandchildren, Denver "Chase" Wagoner (Destiney), Tripp Knicely, Kendall Knicely, and William J. Wagoner; two sisters, Donna McKinery and Mary Miller both of Fort Ashby, WV; his three fur babies; and a large extended family.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
