Cumberland – Wilma Mae (Collins) Long, 92, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at UPMC – Western Maryland.

Born August 1, 1931, in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Irene Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard D. Long, Sr.; one son, Richard "Peanut" D. Long Jr.; and one grandson, Richard "Ricky" Long.

Wilma worked in the 1st Cumberland Undergarments Textile Union and the Cumberland Blouse Company. She enjoyed working at the rummage sales, volunteering for the Salvation Army. Wilma was an avid bingo player at HRDC, Chic-fil-a and the Bedford Road Fire Hall.

Wilma is survived by her son, Edward A. Long and significant other, Vivian Hinerman, of Cumberland; a daughter-in-law, Carol Long; two grandchildren, Tonya Cademartori (the late, Patrick) and Crystal Long, of Cumberland; and three great-grandchildren, Travis (Ashley), Joshua, and Nathan Cademartori; and a large extended family.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marshall Carder officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
