Yusef Asadullah Moore, 21, of Cumberland went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland.

He was born in Jamaica, NY on August 8, 2001 to Ms. Shakeesha Williams and Mr. Vincent Moore. At the age of 4 he moved to Cumberland, MD and attended the Allegany County School System. While in school he excelled academically and was involved in many sports. Yusef played basketball, wrestling, track, and football. He graduated from Allegany High School with the Class of 2019. After school he went on to work as a cook and enjoyed acting, singing, music, playing drums, and boxing.

Yusef loved and served the Lord wholeheartedly and attended Souls Won Outreach Cathedral in Cumberland. He loved his friends and family dearly, and impacted their lives through encouragement and giving them a sense of peace. He always wanted to help others.

Yusef was a great father, son, brother, nephew and friend. In addition to his parents, Yusef is survived by his children, Malik Anthony, Nylah Marie (Breanna), and Nayvee Noel (Dakota); seven siblings, Quintessa, Sariyah, Kyrah, Gabriella, Joshua, and Rebecca; a brother from his father's family, Romeo; and a very large extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, June 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Bishop Kenneth Watkins and Pastor Shannon Watkins of Soul's Won Outreach Cathedral.
